The Library depends on the support of the Redding
community to grow and thrive, and works hard to gain that support
through its Friends of the Library
annual appeal and its major fund raising events. But there are
other ways that individuals and families may choose to support the
Library. Among them are:
Honor someone with a donation to the Library, by making a gift
to recognize a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion.
Gifts in memory of loved ones are also fitting tributes. Books
or other materials may be designated, and the Library will provide
acknowledgment to the honoree or family of the person memorialized.
If the company you work for matches charitable gifts, we encourage
you to submit the appropriate form with your gift. We will be
pleased to complete the transaction with your company.
The Library has benefited in recent years from generous bequests.
The Library would be pleased to work with you on developing a giving
plan which would be of advantage to both you and the Library.
The Library actively seeks support from regional and national
foundations for special projects. It is grateful for the annual
support it receives from the Mark Twain Foundation, a charitable
trust that owns the publication rights to all of Mark Twain's
writings still covered by copyright.
The Library would be pleased to discuss any proposals to support
the library that would involve in-kind services.
Jennifer Wastrom, Chair of the Library's Development
Committee, would be happy to provide assistance or additional information
regarding donations to the Library. You may contact her at (203) 938-0601 or
to contact her by email. Heather Morgan, the Library's
Director, would also be happy to assist you.
