The library maintains a separate collection of
books of special interest to parents of young children, including
books on education and child-rearing. This collection, identified
in the library's catalog with the letters PS
at the beginning of the call number (indicating Parent Shelf) is
located in the parents' waiting area just outside the picture book
room. Additional parenting books, focusing on teenage children,
are shelved in the adult nonfiction collection.
