Programs of interest to adult residents of Redding
are presented periodically at the library. The library's Programming
Committee, a group of volunteers, coordinates these events. All
programs are free; since space is limited, interested patrons are
asked to register in advance. Information on a specific program
is available at the library and on the website at least three weeks
in advance of the event.
In addition, the Library offers two cultural program
series funded by generous gifts from donors. The Hermes Arts Series,
which provides programs related to a wide range of performing and
visual arts, is made possible through the generosity of Helen Hermes
and her late husband, Allan. The Korman Music Series, which honors
the late Sinclair Korman, brings classical and popular musical performers
to the Library.
The library also offers exhibits of artifacts created
or collected by Redding residents. Exhibits are put on display at
the beginning of each month and taken down at the end.
Please contact the director of the library,
if you have a proposal for a program or an exhibit. If
appropriate, she will forward your proposal to the programming committee.
