ACCESS TO MATERIALS IN OTHER LIBRARIES
(and outside Connecticut)

The Mark Twain Library is now a member of the Bibliomation consortium of 75 Connecticut libraries, which provides our patrons with fast online access to more than 2,500,000 items. In addition, patrons can also request items from any other public library in Connecticut as long as that library participates in the ICONN request system. (Our patrons may use their cards to borrow library materials at any public library in the state.)

Mark Twain Library patrons can easily request items from other libraries in our Bibliomation consortium; materials will typically arrive within 3 days. Click here for simple instructions on how to use our catalog to request an item.

If the desired item is not available within the Bibliomation consortium, use the ICONN request system to locate and request it from another public library in the state. This may take a week to 10 days to arrive. Use our catalog for easy access to the system; directions here.

If your desired item is not available within Connecticut or from a library in the ICONN request system, please contact to request an interlibrary loan.
