As a member of the Bibliomation Library consortium, the Mark Twain Library now offers a selection of popular and classic audiobooks for download using the free Overdrive Media Console application. These include fiction and nonfiction titles for adults, teens and children.
Most titles in this digital collection can be played on PCs, IPODs and other similar Apple products, most other MP3/portable audio devices, and many cell/smart phones. A substantial number of titles can be burned to CDs. Other titles are in eBook format and can be read on an Computer, or an eBook device such as Nook, iPad, iPhone, Sony, or Android. Currently Kindles are not supported.
The loan period for all downloadable audiobooks is 14 days; they cannot be renewed. If a title is not available for immediate download, it can be placed on a "wish list" and the patron will be informed when it can be borrowed. Quite a few titles are "always available" for download.

This audio books collection is a service of iCONN, the State Digital Library. Titles can be downloaded to PCs or Macs. From your computer, you can transfer the book to an iPod or other portable device.
To download audiobooks, you will need the Ingram Media Manager software. When you are ready to download your first audiobook, you will be given a chance to download and install the Ingram Media Manager.
Since this extensive collection is shared with many other public libraries in the state, there may be a wait for some titles.
