As a member of the Bibliomation Library consortium, the Mark Twain Library now offers a selection of popular and classic audiobooks for download using the free Overdrive Media Console application. These include fiction and nonfiction titles for adults, teens and children.
All titles in this digital collection can be played on PCs, IPODs and other similar Apple products, most other MP3/portable audio devices, and many cell/smart phones. A substantial number of titles can be burned to CDs.
The loan period for all downloadable audiobooks is 14 days; they cannot be renewed. If a title is not available for immediate download, it can be placed on a "wish list" and the patron will be informed when it can be borrowed. Quite a few titles are "always available" for download.
